Panhandle Human Resources Association proudly presents our annual seminar “Survivor HR, How to Keep Your Employees on Your Island”.  In these tough economic times, wouldn’t it be great to have employees that want to stay with your company?  Employees who are willing to survive no matter what?  This seminar, targeting managers and supervisors, will provide a program that will increase the personal and professional value of all employees.

Our first speaker is Jason Dias, president of Eloquent Online.  Jason will provide attendees with information to help businesses change with history, not get changed by it.  Get ready for the most informative and entertaining spoken session you have ever experienced.  Smart, savvy, hilarious and full of workable solutions, this session will provide information on the following:
*How Gen Y and the Millenials will likely react to their first bear market.
*How to stress your style more than your stuff.
*How to find and keep the best people using the new and here-to-stay world of social media.
*How to create a 21st Century experience for your brand.

Our second speaker is  Lon Williams.  Mr. Williams is the Legislative Director, Texas State Council (SHRM Affiliate) and counsels management concerning employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, equal employment opportunity, occupational safety and health, wage and hour, and related issues in the employment relationship.  Mr. Williams has extensive trial experience in both state and federal court.  He also is a trained mediator and has participated in more than 100 mediations, many of which involve employment issues.  Mr. Williams has more than 25 years of human resource, labor and employment law experience in corporations and law firms.Mr. Williams will speak on the following topics:
*The Updated FMLA regulations
*New Cobra Regulations
*Fair Labor Standards Act
*The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and its impact on Human Resources
*Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
